Ski traverses are the most exciting thing you can do on touring skis. Always new terrain, descending differently than you ascend, changing bases, and also constantly changing conditions. This guarantees a lot of diversity.
The 4-day traverse in Stubai starts at the lower station of the glacier lift (Neustift). The rough plan:
- Day 1: After a cable car ride, the first ascent starts on the Hinterer Daunkopf (3225 m). A descent towards Sulztal follows, after which we will climb Windacher Daunkogel (3310 m) before descending to Amberger Hütte, where we will spend the 1st night.
- Day 2: Kuhscheibenspitze (3189 m), overnight stay at the Amberger Hütte.
- Day 3: Via the Wildgratscharte (3170 m) to the Franz Senn Hütte.
- Day 4: Depending on conditions, one of the great tours around the Franz Senn Hütte. Afterwards descent to the Oberbergtal, where we take a return transfer by cab to the starting point.
