Once in a lifetime you can stand on the highest mountain in Austria. A dream of many mountain lovers! A special option is to reach this goal as an alpine ski tour. The benefit of this option is that in winter you avoid having to descend my walking.
Belayed on the rope of the mountain guide, the rocky ridge in the summit area (grade 2) is a great experience for people who have ski touring experience.
This tour is available in 2 options:
⇒ 1-day tour: Arrive in Kals at night and start early in the morning at Lucknerhaus. This variant is very demanding in terms of physical condition, because the tour is 1800 Hm long.
⇒ 2-days tour: A much more relaxing option is an overnight stay at the Stüdlhütte (early March to early May).
