This tour starts with a comfortable, afternoon ascent to the Pfitscher Joch, where we spend a relaxing night.
On the next day the alarm clock rings early, because we are facing an extended day of climbing. First we walk along a hiking trail, and then along steep tracks to the beginning of the glacier. There we put on the crampons and rope up.
The glacier is flat at first, then it gets steeper, and at the end we climb over an ice gully to the rocky entrance of the southeast ridge. Over the ridge we climb in great granite to the 3411 m high summit of the Schrammacher. There we enjoy the view and take a break before we descend along the ascent path.
